Location:

One of the few Paris apartments to rent on Ile de la Cite, the most historic district of Paris. Located on Arcole Street, it is two steps away from Notre Dame de Paris. The Arcole street goes from Notre Dame de Paris to the town hall. This island is one of the most enchanting places to stay in Paris. A few blocks away you are on Saint Louis Island with its refined boutiques, old fashioned bistros, food shops and many more Parisian features. You are also near Saint Germain des Pres, a very charming area of Paris. Many attractive Parisian sites are located less than 10 minutes away: the Pompidou Centre, the Louvre Museum, the Tuileries Garden, the Sainte Chapelle, the Latin Quartier, the Bastille and the Marais district. You will find public transportation just 2 minutes away from the flat, such as metros, express trains (RER) and buses.

You can also easily ride a bike; just in front of the building there is a Velib station (see: http://www.en.velib.paris.fr). The district is very safe and quiet at night.

Standing:

On the 5th and last floor, with an elevator, the apartment in Paris is located in a Haussmannien stone building (high quality) built in 1900 and secured by a digicode. A long balcony runs along the living room and the bedroom. Upon entering this cosy Paris home you will be surprised by the general features of the property: large entrance lobby with authentic Parisian oak hardwood floor opening to the dining-room, living-room and the bedroom. A large storage cupboard stands in the entrance. The living-room with hardwood floor and a marble fireplace has a view on the town hall of Paris, the roofs of Paris and a little view on the river Seine. From the balcony, you can see the Bastille and St Gervais bell tower.

The living-room is furnished with a top quality, comfortable leather sofa bed (very easy to open) with an excellent quality mattress, two armchairs, a coffee table, a desk and a large bookcase. Inside the bookcase you will find a brand new entertainment system with a flat screen TV offering a choice of major international channels, a DVD player, and a complete hi-fi including CD player, private phone line, high speed internet connection with unlimited access and free WI-FI internet. From the entrance of this apartment to the living room, you have access to the bedroom; it is furnished with two fully adjustable (electrically operated) single beds that can be to put together to form a king-size bed. On each side of the beds, there is a cupboard and a bedside table. From the bedroom you have direct access to the balcony. The kitchen is very large, with an unforgettable view of Notre Dame, and is well equipped with a six-place table and top quality electrical appliances: fridge, freezer, electric oven, combined electric/gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, and electric kettle. There is ample storage space with a complete set of cutlery, crockery and glassware. The bathroom is very bright, with a large window looking over the Notre Dame towers. It has a bathtub / shower (with glass screen), a large glass washbasin and storage for toiletries. It is equipped with a washing machine, a dryer and a hair dryer. The toilet is separate from the bathroom.
